Shawna Woods – Attorney, Managing Partner

When she was a child, Shawna Woods wanted to be an author. She loved how the written word could change thoughts and minds. In college, she met another classmate whose passion for law sparked Shawna’s own ideas of justice. 

To Kill a Mocking Bird is one of those books that inspires people to go to law school, and that was certainly true for Shawna. She wanted to have a profession that she could feel noble about and make a difference in. Between wanting to fight the good fight and her very inspirational classmate, she decided to pursue a law degree.

Shawna now has over 17 years of Family Law experience, which lends itself well to our legal team. She has also a great deal of experience in managing firms and can provide her co-workers with the support to succeed in any family law case.

• Former partner of a successful Family Law Firm in Forsyth County
• Had a successful solo Family Law practice in Fulton County
• Worked with the Special Assistant to the Attorney General for Child Support Enforcement for several years
• Undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of New Mexico
• Juris Doctorate from the University of New Mexico, School of Law
• Active member of the Georgia State Bar, the Atlanta Bar Association Family Division, the North Fulton Bar Association, the National Association of Professional Women, and The Forsyth County Bar Association
• Former member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Attorney Moot Court Team
• Interned for the United States Attorneys’ Office
